Jewellery and especially rings are naturally exposed to everyday life; knocks, bangs, scratches and all kinds of chemicals from hand wash to perfume.
Regular cleaning and checking of your jewellery will help prevent any major incidents. You can use warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush to clean daily.
There are also lots of great jewellery cleaning products available specifically for brightening up your treasured piece, speak to your jeweller about these.
We recommend taking your jewellery to a professional at least once a year for a deep clean and to check for any potential issues before they happen.
Guide to Services
Not all rings are suitable for engraving, for example a diamond set full eternity band. If in doubt please discuss with the retailer where you purchased your ring and they can advise.
Our complimentary resize covers one size either way (larger or smaller). Any more than one size may incur a supplementary charge depending upon the style of ring. Any charge would simply be to cover the additional precious metal and craftsmanship.
Resizing excludes full set diamond bands. Please note that resizing patterned rings can result in a loss of continuity of pattern around the ring.
A refinish is a suite of processes we use to return your ring, as close as possible to its original condition, including polishing by hand, ultrasonic cleaning, rhodium plating (if white gold) and re-securing stones.
Our lifetime guarantee covers against all material and manufacturing defects. During the warranty period you will have the right to have any defects repaired free of charge. If we are unable to repair, we reserve the right to replace it with an identical or similar ring.
This warranty does not cover wear, tear, and ageing. You can keep your jewellery looking its best by following our jewellery care guide.
Accidental damage, lack of care or negligence are not covered by this guarantee although you may be able to claim through Brown & Newirth Protect (please contact the underwriter who will assess on a case by case basis).
